 Art Collage 'Love' 2015

'Know in your heart you are loved'

A truly special Art Collage adorns this beautiful Art Card, which I created for Valentine's Day 2015 as Card of the Month.

Various vintage ephemera pieces have been grouped onto background and attached with decoupage medium in multiple layers. Another layer of decoupage medium protects the panel.

The edges of the panel were then sanded. The next layer is white acrylic paint, that has been applied randomly to create a 'shabby' look. This look was completed with a black art marker, which I first applied around the edges of ephemera pieces, and then smudged with my finger.

All metallic pieces, like the sentiment, corners and the number pieces were also treated with white acrylic paint, which I partially rubbed off again after a short drying time.

A metallic look frame draws your eye to the wool felt heart.

Lastly I attached all metal pieces to the panel- and the metal corners are the final touch, which I attached with a hammer.

This panel can easily be removed and framed.
